Shutters are still being used the same way they were when popularised during the Tudor period. Even though materials & mechanics have come a long way they were used then to control sunlight, keep out the heat or cold and keep thieves at bay. With their newer minimalist design, we are confident shutters suit almost any property.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Mid Rail?
A midrail is a solid section of wood in the middle of your shutter panel. This is often used to cover up window handles and allowing you to control the top of the shutter independently to the bottom of the shutter.
What is a Tilt Rod?
A Tilt rod is a mechanism to control the shutter slats. They are always vertical on the shutter but can be positioned centrally or offset. There is the option of a hidden tilt too so there is no rod on the shutters.
Do shutters fade in the sun?
Our manufacturers have a specialist final coating which is used over multiple layers of paint to limit the fading caused by the sun.
Can shutters be installed on a bay window?
Yes, shutters can be installed on a bay window with ease.
How long is my guarantee?
Your shutters will receive a 3-year guarantee from us so any problems please pick up the phone & call 01202 741671.
Are shutters blackout?
Shutters will block out more light than traditional blinds, but you may receive a small amount of light leakage around the edge of the slats. We understand a pitch-black bedroom may be what you are looking for & if so, we can look at adding a blackout roller blind behind your shutters to solve that problem.
Can I open my windows with shutters?
Yes, you can still fully open your windows.
Can I have shutters in my bathroom?
Yes, we offer a plastic shutter which is made from ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) this is a lightweight plastic which is waterproof meaning it will not absorb moisture. The other great thing about this shutter is it virtually impossible to tell the difference between this & the standard shutters.
